In the 2nd century ce, Greek physician Galen recommended ball games for good health. But in modern times, sports have become motorized.
In the late 17th century, England, the emergence of modern sports was underway. The concept of keeping records in sports began to emerge during the Restoration. Puritans had disapproved of traditional pastimes, driving them underground. However, under the leadership of the Marylebone Cricket Club, which was founded in 1787, organized games developed.
