Eventually, a number of games were played in organized competitions that included rules of strategy.
Today’s sports are competitive in nature, but the aesthetic element remains. Hence, a clear definition of the term is important in order to understand what it means to be a sportsperson. The Council of Europe has widened the definition of sport to include all forms of physical activity and competition, including those undertaken for fun.
